# How to notify meeting attendees you're transcribing with Tactiq

Tactiq can send a short message in the meeting chat to let attendees know that transcription is happening.

# How to turn on automatic meeting notifications

You can enable this feature from your Tactiq dashboard.

- Go to your Tactiq dashboard

- Click on your profile icon and select `Settings`
​

- Scroll to the `Privacy settings` section
​

- Toggle on `Notify others you’re transcribing the meeting`
​

💡 **Note:** When enabled, Tactiq will send a one-time message at the start of each meeting that says: *Tactiq is being used to transcribe and take meeting notes.*
