Tactiq now supports workflows in private Slack channels, making it easier to manage and share meeting insights with specific teams. This is particularly useful for ensuring sensitive information is shared only within designated groups.
Whether you're automating the sharing of meeting summaries or triggering specific actions, this article explains how to enable Tactiq in private Slack channels and use them in workflows.
Adding Tactiq to your private Slack channel
To use a private Slack channel for workflows, follow these steps:
Open the private Slack channel you want to use for workflows and type
@Tactiq
in the message bar and pressEnter
. You’ll see the message: "You mentioned @Tactiq, but they’re not in this private channel."
Click the
Invite Them
button to add Tactiq to the private channel.
Once Tactiq is added, the private channel will appear as an option when setting up workflows that involve Slack integration.
Using a private Slack channel in a workflow
After adding Tactiq to your private Slack channel, you can include it in a workflow:
Go to your Tactiq dashboard and open the
Workflows
section where you can create a new workflow from scratch or using a template. If you already have an existing workflow, you can edit it.
In the workflow builder, add a new step and select
Share to an integration
and from the list of integrations, selectSlack
. In the channel list, choose the private channel where you want the workflow output to appear.
In the
Message
section, define what the message should contain. For example, you can set it to output the result of the first workflow step thenSave
your changes and clickRun
.
Select the meeting for which you want to run the workflow. Once the workflow runs successfully, the output will appear as an entry in the selected private Slack channel.
