Have you ever pasted your meeting notes from Tactiq into Google Docs and noticed that the formatting didn’t look quite right? Using Markdown in Google Docs makes it easier to maintain the formatting of your Tactiq meeting transcriptions.

This article is here to help you keep your notes looking the same way they do in Tactiq.

What is Markdown?

Markdown is a straightforward way to format text, making it especially useful for organizing your meeting transcriptions.

It allows you to easily make text bold, italic, or create headings and links directly within Google Docs.

How to turn on Markdown

  • Open your Google Docs then click on Tools in the top menu.

  • Select Preferences and check the box next to Enable Markdown. Click OK.

  • Right-click and select Paste from Markdown. The Markdown will be converted to Google Docs and the formatting will be automatically applied to the pasted text.
