Ask AI is an interactive, chat-based assistant that helps you explore your meeting transcripts. You can ask follow-up questions, use pre-set prompts like Summary or Action items, and analyze one or several meetings at once—all from a resizable, conversational window.

Whether you're reviewing interviews, standups, or long project calls, Ask AI gives you a faster way to get the key insights without reading every word.

How to open Ask AI

You can access Ask AI from the My Meetings page in two ways:

  • Click the Ask AI button in the top right (appears once you select at least one meeting)

  • Use the Ask AI for insights button that appears at the bottom after selecting a meeting

You only need to select one meeting to use Ask AI, but you can select multiple if you want to analyze them together.

What the Ask AI chat window can do

When you open Ask AI, a chat window appears on the right side of your screen. This is where the interaction happens. Inside the chat window, you can:

  • Ask your own questions by typing directly into the message box

  • Use quick actions like Summary, Action items, Key insights, and Follow-up prep

  • Scroll through visible history to see your full conversation, including previous replies and follow-ups

  • Access past AI chats via the Past AI Chats dropdown menu

  • Resize the window by clicking and dragging its edges—make it bigger or smaller as needed

The chat works just like a real conversation. You can keep asking related questions without starting over.

Using Ask AI with one meeting

If you select a single meeting, Ask AI will analyze just that transcript. This is great when you:

  • Want to review what was discussed in a 1:1 or interview

  • Need a quick summary or action list

  • Prefer not to read the full transcript

Example prompts

  • Summarize this meeting

  • What should I follow up on?

  • Who was mentioned and what did they say?

Using Ask AI with multiple meetings

When you select multiple meetings, Ask AI combines the content and analyzes them together. This is useful for:

  • Identifying themes across recurring syncs or check-ins

  • Reviewing team updates over a time period

  • Spotting blockers or repeated questions in onboarding sessions

Example prompts

  • What were the main decisions made?

  • Summarize trends across these meetings

  • List repeated concerns or blockers
