How to upload video, audio, and transcripts to Tactiq

Learn how to upload transcripts, video, and audio files to Tactiq and use AI tools with your content.

Tactiq supports uploads of transcript files, recordings, and documents up to 2GB, and you can process audio or video in under 2 hours.

Accepted file types

You can upload the following file formats:

  • Text transcripts: vtt, txt, pdf, docx, odt

  • Presentations: pptx

  • Spreadsheets: xlsx, ods

  • Documents: odp, odt, rtf

  • Audio & Video: mp4, m4a, mp3, mov

How to upload your file

  • Go to your Tactiq dashboard and click Upload Transcript or Recording in the top right corner.

  • Drag & Drop or select Choose File to upload.

  • Optionally enter a meeting title and date. If no date is provided, Tactiq uses the upload date.

  • Select the transcription language. If none is selected, Tactiq will auto-detect the spoken language.

  • Click Upload.

📌 Note: If your preferred language isn’t listed, choose Meeting Language to enable auto-detection.

Once uploaded, you can use Quick Prompts to get summaries, extract action items, or explore insights from your file.

📌 Note: You can remove timestamps from uploaded transcripts under Account & Settings > Settings > General.


FAQs

What languages are supported?

You can manually select: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.

If your language isn’t listed, it will still be automatically detected. Contact support if needed.

Why is my upload taking so long?

Processing large audio or video files may take up to 2 hours. If it’s significantly longer, contact support.

Why can’t I use AI tools on my upload?

AI features are only available on transcripts longer than 2 minutes.

Can I upload in-person meetings?

Yes. Record the meeting with a voice recorder or mobile app, then upload the file to Tactiq. For best results, use a clear recording with minimal background noise and a good-quality microphone.
