If Tactiq shows a generic title like 2025-06-12 Meeting transcription for your Google Meet, it usually means Tactiq couldn’t match the meeting to your Google Calendar event.

How to make sure Tactiq names your Google Meet correctly

Tactiq pulls meeting titles from your Google Calendar, but only when you join the Google Meet directly from the calendar invite.

  • Open the Google Calendar event

  • Click Join with Google Meet from the event, not a copied link

This helps Tactiq correctly link the meeting and display the actual event title.

How to reconnect your Google Calendar

If you're still seeing generic titles after joining from Calendar, you may need to reconnect your Google Calendar integration.

  • Go to the Tactiq Integrations page

  • Click Disconnect next to Google Calendar

  • Click Connect to reauthorize

  • Accept all permissions when prompted

💡 Note: This only applies to new Google Meet events. Past meetings will still show generic titles.

How to test if it's working

To confirm it's fixed:

  • Create a new Google Calendar event

  • Name it something like Tactiq Test Meeting

  • Use the Google Meet link from the event to start the meeting

  • Join from the calendar

  • Open Tactiq — the correct event title should appear
