With Tactiq you're able to transcribe no matter on which meeting platform in 30+ different languages: English, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Mexico), Spanish (Spain) etc.

Generally, here’s how you can change the transcription language for Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

  • If the widget is minimized (only the icons are visible on the right-hand side of your meeting space), click on the current language displayed on the widget then select your preferred language.

  • If the widget is maximized, click Change on the blue banner of the widget and the menu will pop up with different languages that you can select from.

For example, you’re meeting with a Spanish colleague and the language needs to be changed to Spanish so the transcripts read ¡Hola! correctly.

Alternatively, you can change the language using the caption settings for each platform.

Note ❗️: Language settings are specific to each platform. If you just changed your language preference in Google Meets, remember that these settings are specific to each platform. If you also use Microsoft Teams or Zoom, you'll need to adjust the language settings there separately.

Google Meet

  • Click on Show/Hide Native Captions (the CC icon) either on the widget or at the bottom panel.

  • Then, click the language on the Caption have been turned on message or the gear icon (often found on the left side) with the current language to open the Caption settings.

  • Change the language to match the spoken language of the meeting.

Zoom

  • Click on the small arrow in Show Captions to access the caption settings.

  • Under Caption, click Caption Language and select from the list of languages to match the spoken language of the meeting.

Microsoft Teams

  • Click on More (the ellipses icon), then Language and Speech. This opens the Caption Settings where you can change the caption and spoken language.

  • Select Update on the prompt to change the Spoken Language and the Caption Language.

  • Alternatively, you can also click on Show/Hide Native Captions (the CC icon) and click the gear icon to change the Spoken Language and the Caption Language.

Now, Tactiq will understand the language being spoken and transcribe it correctly, making sure that you get all the important points in the meeting!
