With Tactiq, you have complete control over what gets transcribed and saved in your library.

Currently, we have 2 different methods of pausing transcriptions

  • The ⏸️ Pause button allows you to pause transcribing during a meeting

  • The Always ask about transcribing setting allows you to decide whether to transcribe a meeting before it starts.

Note: The ⏸️ pause button is accessible on all plans, while Always ask about transcribing is only available on the paid plan.

The ⏸️ Pause button (On all plans)

This image shows the "Pause" option on the bottom right-hand side of the Tactiq widget, which can be clicked to pause or resume a transcription.

  • During a meeting, open the Tactiq widget and locate the Pause button.

  • Click the Pause button to stop transcription. Once you pause, you'll see a message:
Your transcript has been paused. To resume transcribing, click the pause button again.

Note: Meetings or skipped sections during a pause cannot be recovered.

What happens when this feature is enabled?

  • You can choose between Yes to start transcribing or No to skip transcription for that session.

  • If you select No, no transcription will occur for that meeting, and you can continue without any interruption.
