Switching to a new Tactiq account? Whether you're consolidating accounts or moving to a new email address, transferring your data ensures you keep access to your meeting transcripts and history.
This article explains the steps for requesting and completing the data move, as well as important prerequisites to keep in mind.
Prerequisites
You must have logged into the target account at least once.
If you are a team administrator, pass the administrator role to someone else.
If you have a paid set on a team plan, you need your team administrator to downgrade you first.
The target account cannot have a pending (incomplete) data move.
Notes:
If you want to share the meetings with other users, you can do that manually for specific meetings.
You can also move your subscription plan to another account before or after you move the meetings.
Steps for the source account
Go to the Tactiq dashboard and navigate to
Settings
>General
>Account
.
Expand the section labeled
Moving your meetings to another account
.
Click the
Request data move
button.
In the window that appears, type the email address of the target account and click
Request data move
.
Once the request is submitted, your view will update to reflect the pending move. You can cancel the move at any time until it is accepted by the target account.
Steps for the target account
Sign out of your source account and sign in with your target account.
Navigate to
Settings
>General
>Account
.
Expand the
Moving your meetings to another account
section and click theAccept data move
button.
You can also cancel the move from the target account if needed.
Processing the data move
After the target account accepts the data move, it will be processed within one business day. Once the process is complete, the target account will receive an email notification.
Notes:
You can cancel the move at any stage before the target account accepts the request.
If you need to move your subscription, this must be done separately.
