As soon as your meeting begins, Tactiq's transcription notifications will automatically pop up in your chatbox/messaging meeting platform, giving everyone a heads-up that you're transcribing the meeting.

"Hi everyone, this is an automated message to let you know my Tactiq extension is transcribing this meeting for me so I can give my full attention to you."

So, where do I turn off this automated transcription notification in the chat?

If you're not able to turn off this setting

If you’re having trouble turning the settings off, unfortunately, you might be on our free plan(Everyone will receive a pop-up automated transcription notification that you're transcribing the meeting in progress).

If you want to have finer control over the transcription notification setting, check out our Pro / and Team plans. It'll make things easier the next time you start a meeting.

Next time when you're on a call, no automated transcription notification will pop up in chat to let everyone know you're transcribing the meeting.

What if I want to have a choice between yes and no?

If you've been searching for a way to choose whether to notify your participants during your meeting, you've come to the right place!

Whether you enabled your settings to "Default Prompt" or "Always Prompt", a small pop-up window will appear in your chatbox (this is only visible to you).

Choose "Yes, This Time" to inform your participants or host that meeting transcription is active. Alternatively, select "Not This Time" if you prefer not to notify participants or hosts.

What's the difference between Default Prompt & Always Prompt settings?

There's a slight difference between these 2 settings, depending on where the timer is on the selection box.

For the Default Prompt setting, the timer for the selection box will always be "Yes, Always". For example, if you run out of time in 30 seconds, your settings will automatically change to always notify your participants or host.

You can however change the setting back in the Account Setting to disabled.

For the Always Prompt setting, the timer for the selection box will always be "Yes, This Time". For example, if you run out of time in 30 seconds, it will only automatically notify your participants or host in this current meeting.

No matter which option you choose, our transcription notification setting enables you to effortlessly and effectively decide whether to notify your participants during your meeting.
