Manage In-Meeting Transcription Notifications for Your Team

The In-Meeting Transcription Notification setting allows Enterprise teams to automatically notify meeting participants whenever transcription starts.

This feature is designed for organizations that require transparency, legal disclosure, or internal compliance messaging during transcribing. When enabled, the notification is enforced across the entire team workspace.

📌 Note: Only Admins on Enterprise plans can manage the In-Meeting Transcription Notification settings.


How In-Meeting Transcription Notifications Work

When a Team Admin enables this setting, Tactiq automatically sends a message in the meeting chat as soon as any team member starts transcribing.

This is a team-wide setting. It overrides individual member notification preferences and cannot be disabled at the user level while active.


Enable and Customize the Notification Message

To configure this setting, go to Settings, open the Team tab, and scroll down to In-Meeting Transcription Notification.

Once there, toggle the setting on to enforce chat notifications for your entire team.

You will see an editor where you can customize the notification message. This allows you to replace the default message with language that aligns with your organization’s policies.

For example, you might write:

"Hi, I’m transcribing this call using Tactiq for documentation purposes."

When you save your custom message, it replaces the default notification for all team members. The Tactiq link will still be appended automatically and cannot be removed.


A live preview is displayed in the settings so you can see exactly how the message will appear in the meeting chat before saving. After saving, the notification will automatically send whenever transcription begins in any meeting hosted or joined by your team members.


Once you’re satisfied with the message, click Save Changes. After saving, the notification will automatically send whenever transcription begins in any meeting hosted or joined by your team members.

Only Team Admins can enable or modify this setting. If changes are needed, team members must contact their Team Admin or Account Manager to update the configuration.
