Try Tactiq on Zoom

Once the settings are enabled, click TRY TACTIQ IN ZOOM WEB to try Tactiq out. After you join the meeting, you will see Tactiq on the right side of the screen transcribing what is being said.

Enable Closed Captioning for the Meeting

At the start of the Zoom meeting, confirm that closed captioning is enabled for all participants.

Note: When this setting is disabled, nobody can use Closed Captioning in the meeting.

  • Click OK on the A closed captioning transcript is being generated prompt.

  • Access the meeting controls toolbar at the bottom of the Zoom window and click on the Show Captions icon (CC).

  • Go to Host Caption Control Settings and make sure that Allow Closed Captioning for this meeting is enabled.

Change the Transcription Language

Locate the Tactiq widget on the right side of your meeting window and choose your preferred language from the available options.

  • For a minimized widget: Click on the current language displayed on the widget itself. This will open a menu with available language options.

  • For a maximized widget: Click the Change button on the blue banner of the widget. This will display a menu of languages you can select.

Note: Remember that language settings are specific to each platform. You'll need to adjust them individually for Google Meet, Zoom, and Teams.
