If you need to keep track of important discussions or decisions during Google Meet calls, Tactiq can help by transcribing your meetings. This guide will show you how to set up Tactiq, join a meeting, use the transcription features, and access your transcripts afterwards.
Install Tactiq Extension
To use Tactiq with Google Meet, start by installing the Tactiq extension from the Chrome or Edge Web Store. Simply search for Tactiq and click Add to Chrome to install it.

Join a Google Meet
Once Tactiq is installed, it will start transcribing automatically when you start speaking as you join a Google meeting.
How to change the transcription language
English is the default transcription language. To change and choose your preferred language from the available options, go to the Tactiq widget on the right side of your meeting window.
Using the Widget to Change the Language
For a minimized widget: Click the current language and select your preferred language.
For a maximized widget: Click the
Changebutton and choose your language.
Note: The selected language will apply to future meetings unless changed again.

Get your transcript
After the meeting, you'll be automatically directed to the Tactiq dashboard page, where you can access your meeting transcript. You will also receive a link to the transcript via email.
